Good Morning Team LAZBFG,

Well, we are tracking to finish well in April but there is a very slim margin for error heading into our final 10 days of April.  It always helps when we can do two days’ worth of business in one like today.

I want to wish everyone a very heartfelt Happy Easter and it’s my hope that each of you gets to spend it in your own very special way.  It is only a few days of the year that we are closed in every department and I enjoy knowing everyone has the day off.

I would like to give a shout out to Maritza and Valarie for providing an unanticipated level of service by getting everyone paid prior to Easter.  Great Work!!

Also, on a very short list of updates, The Board for La-Z-Boy has chosen Phoenix to have their annual meeting, no doubt to see their shiny new toy.  I think Karla said it best when she said: “it feels like we have new relatives coming to our house for the first time”.  So, let’s make sure that we look top notch everywhere, with a little spring cleaning.

Lastly, I just want to add a message of thanking everyone for their investment in their next level of continuous improvements.  I’ve heard and seen great engagement in talking more about leading with an “Outward Mindset” and the Lean Captains meeting and collaboration in a higher level of Standard Work.  This all bodes well for our immediate and long-term goals.

I am very proud of how we continue to head in the direction of being the Greatest Retail Show on Earth.  Please continue about thinking and caring for each other and personal and professional growth will happen in abundance.
